Firestone Building Products Starts New Energy Solutions Division

Firestone Building Products Company, LLC, Indianapolis, has started the Firestone Energy Solutions division to provide products and services that help produce and conserve energy for commercial buildings.

The new division provides domed daylighting systems, FM-approved smoke hatch/daylighting systems, crystalline and thin-film photovoltaic (PV) technologies from major manufacturers, and ballasted or penetrating racking solutions.

Its rooftop PV program features trained and licensed installers, thorough analysis capabilities, system performance monitoring and assistance to fund solar installations.

Jeff Henegar, general manager of Firestone Energy Solutions, says one critical component of a solar installation is making sure the roof can match the potential 20-30 year life of the PV or daylighting system.

Firestone Energy Solutions, says Henegar, can be a single source for both roofing and solar systems that address renewable energy interests.
