The Dayton, Ohio-based Center for Tissue Innovation and Research houses 14 state-of-the-art clean-rooms to process human tissue for bone, skin and tissue grafts, in addition to R&D facilities to further advance tissue transplant technology.
The project called for no fewer than 21 air handlers, including 14 dedicated recirculation units capable of moving 40,000 cfm of air.
Due to the high concentration of mechanical equipment, early fabrication of ductwork was crucial, with project team members utilizing 3D modeling to ensure assemblies were under way before the erection of structural steel was completed.
