In addition to a congested neighborhood, team members negotiated further hurdles when a lease was lost on a lot earmarked for a crane and staging. The solution was to move the crane inside the building.
Due to limited access, builders closely monitored the timing for material storage, distribution and placement of construction equipment.
As work progressed, crews performed vibration monitoring to ensure work wasn't disturbing occupants of neighboring buildings.
The 14-story, 86-room facility is the world's largest Ronald McDonald House.
