Milwaukee AGC Names Officers


The Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee has announced its officers for 2005.

They include President Tom Miotke, chairman of Milwaukee-based J.P. Jansen Co., Senior Vice President Larry Rocole, vice president of the Milwaukee division of Janesville-based J.P. Cullen & Sons, and Treasurer Dave Jones, president/treasurer of Pewaukee-based Jens Construction.

Also named were Director Thomas Empric, executive vice president - operations of Milwaukee-based CG Schmidt, and Associate Director Peter Sprinkmann, assistant secretary - treasurer of Milwaukee-based Sprinkmann Sons Corp.

Robert Stelter, chief operating officer of Milwaukee-based The Bentley Co., is the Immediate Past President.

Also, Mike Fabishak's title has recently changed from executive vice president to CEO.



Engineering Scholarships Available

The Schaumburg-based Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute Foundation has announced the availability of scholarships for the 2005-06 academic year.

Plans call for awarding scholarships of $2,500 each to senior-level students who are majoring in civil or architectural engineering and $3,000 each to incoming graduate students in a master's degree program in civil, structural or architectural engineering.

Twenty students were awarded scholarships in the 2004-05 academic year.

The application deadline is June 3, 2005.

Findorff's Zradicka Honored

Jim "ZZ" Zradicka, carpenter foreman with Madison-based J.H. Findorff & Son Inc., has received an award for community service.

The honor, which the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin gives, recognizes individuals in the association's membership who distinguish themselves by making exemplary contributions to their community.

Zradicka has worked with Project Home's Hammer with a Heart, a program that provides repairs and home improvements to low-income homeowners.

He has also volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House and other organizations.



IED Has a Hart

Mike Hart, president of Elmhurst-based Harts Tractor Co. Inc., was named president of the North Aurora-based Illinois Equipment Distributors.

Other new officers include Vice President Rolf Helland, president of Morris-based Illinois Truck & Equipment Inc.; Treasurer Mark Harbaugh, general manager with Carol Stream-based Ditch Witch Midwest; and Associate Director Steve VanKlompenberg, district manager of Naperville-based CIT Group/Equipment Financing.

Also named were First Director Dennis Kruepke, president of Addison-based McCann Industries Inc., and Second Director Marty Ahrendt, president of Burr Ridge-based Finkbiner Equipment Co.


ECA Names Officers

The Westchester-based Electrical Contractors' Association of the City of Chicago has announced its officers for 2005.

They comprise ECA President I. Steven Diamond, president of Morton Grove-based Malko Electric Co.; Vice President and Treasurer Bradley Weir, president of Rolling Meadows-based Kelso-Burnett Co.; and Chapter Manager Mark Nemshick, the full-time executive vice president of the ECA.
