Speedway Resurfaced
A day after the completion of the Brickyard 400, resurfacing
started on the 2.5-mi.-long Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.
Crews have demolished the racing surface. The track, which
had last been paved in 1995, is expected to be complete in
mid-October.
According to IMS officials, 36,500 tons of asphalt will be
laid in two or three layers and cover more than 1 million
sq. ft. per layer.
'Hot Firm' Named
Indianapolis-based BSA LifeStructures is among the 100 fastest
growing "Hot Firms," according to ZweigWhite, a
newsletter and consulting practice in Cambridge, Mass.
BSA was 43rd on the list and the only Indiana firm to make
it. BSA LifeStructures and it affiliate companies have worked
in more than 15 states, although the majority of its work
is in the Midwest.
