to Expand, Move Headquarters Indianapolis-based Lauth Property Group has
announced it will develop new office buildings and relocate its corporate headquarters
to the northeast quadrant of Interstate 465 and Meridian Street. The
firm purchased a three-story office building and the adjacent 15 acres of land
in Meridian Corporate Plaza. The plaza is the home of Methodist Medical Plaza
and the Wyndham Hotel. Lauth will relocate its corporate headquarters
to the building after it is renovated. Renovation will begin immediately
with an expected completion of September 2004. About 250,000 sq. ft.
of Class A office space will be developed on the adjacent land.
First State Library Certified Green A
library that recently broke ground in Ohio Township near Evansville is reportedly
the first in Indiana to be certified as a Leadership in Energy & Environmental
Design building. The library will feature substantial daylighting, a
raised-floor air plenum, autoclaved aerated concrete wall panels, solar hot water
system and photovoltaic panels. Indianapolis-based Veazey Parrott Durkin
& Shoulders is the architect on the project.
Ivy Tech College Expands Campus The Marion location
of Indianapolis-based Ivy Tech State College will receive an $18 million new campus
building. Plans call for classrooms, teaching and science laboratories,
bookstore and student spaces. Ground break was held in summer, and the
building is expected to open in 2007. Indianapolis-based BSA LifeStructures
and Muncie-based Gooden and Ellis Architects will serve as the designers.
Construction is continuing at Ivy Tech's Terra Haute, Valparaiso and Muncie
locations. Ivy Tech has 62,500 students on 23 campuses across the state. |
