Arthur Merdinian has joined Consolidated Design & Construction Group, St. Louis, as a principal. Merdinian, a registered architect, has more than 19 years of experience in the design/build industry. Most recently, he owned Boland-Merdinian Group and Merdinian Homes in Frontenac, Mo.
Michael Conger has been named as the new president of Northwire Inc., Osceola, Wis. He replaces Mark Kravik, president and owner since 1984, who is becoming chairman of the board. Before joining Northwire, Conger served in senior management in the railway and truck manufacturing industry, with his most recent role as managing director in the transport sector for an €18.7-billion French company.
Clifford P. Kilboy has joined Reed Construction as vice president and project executive. Kilboy joins the construction firm after serving as a senior project manager at Turner Construction in Chicago. Kilboy has worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years. Before his tenure with Turner, Kilboy was a senior project manager for Tonn and Blank Construction in Indiana and Pepper Construction in Chicago.
Aaron Shepard has joined Harley Ellis Devereaux, Chicago, as a project manager in the company’s healthcare design team. Shepard has nearly 25 years’ experience in healthcare architecture and has managed large-scale hospital projects throughout Chicago and the Midwest. Shepard is based in Harley Ellis Devereaux’s Chicago office. He previously was project manager at OWP/P.
Rodney Greenfield has joined the design/build construction firm Morgan/Harbour Construction, Woodridge, Ill., as estimating manager. Greenfield was previously employed with Monarch Design and Construction. He also worked with FCL Builders for nearly ten years.. In addition, Greenfield has worked in the HVAC industry in a variety of capacities including as a project manager, estimator and as an engineer.
Kevin Broich has joined Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) as a senior design architect on the healthcare team. Broich has more than 25 years of healthcare architecture and program management experience, including using evidence-based and lean design principles to develop patient-centric facilities. He comes to EUA from HDR, an Omaha, Neb., architecture firm that recently closed its Milwaukee office in a nationwide consolidation.
Nick Hugeback and Triffin Zecy have been hired as engineers by St. Louis design/build firm Paric Corp. Both had previously served internships with the company. Hugeback works in the operations department. Zecy is part of the operations/core and shell team.
Joseph Calliari has joined Clark Dietz’s Kenosha office as an engineer responsible for the technical development of a variety of transportation projects.
HONORS & APPOINTMENTS
Stephen R. Miller of Kansas City, Mo., has been named to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, a six-member citizens’ panel that governs MoDOT. Miller is an attorney with more than 25 years’ experience in construction law. He fills the vacancy left by the resignation of Mike Kehoe of Jefferson City and will complete Kehoe’s term, which runs through March 1, 2011.
David E. Burke , Safety Director for Tonn and Blank Construction Co., Michigan City, Ind., recently completed the rigorous requirements to be named a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
Adrianna Slusarenko and Louisa Holland of MasterGraphics, Madison, Wis., have earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional certification. MasterGraphics supplies design data solutions for the manufacturing, building and civil engineering industries in the Midwest.

Shiel Sexton, Indianapolis, a construction management and general contracting company, has hired Alex Hahn as a project coordinator. The company also has announced that it has promoted Cameron Smith and Dave Taylor to project engineer and promoted Chad Rosebrock to project manager.
Superior Industries, Morris, Minn., a manufacturer of conveyor systems and components, has launched a redesigned website, superior-ind.com, that features better pictures, a newly enhanced dealer map, and more useful product pages. The company says it plans to add web-friendly applications that will help customers design conveyors, pick proper components and educate themselves about conveyor systems.
