Three Major Design Firms Announce
Changes
Three design firms with Chicago offices - A. Epstein and
Sons International, HLM Design and Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum
- have announced executive promotions or hires.
Allen Pomerance was named director
of the Aviation Group for Chicago-based A.
Epstein and Sons International Inc. He continues as
executive vice president of the firm.
A. Epstein and Sons International Inc. is an architecture,
engineering, construction, interior design and graphic design
firm.

Sheila Cahnman was promoted
to vice president of the Chicago office of Charlotte, N.C.-based
HLM Design. She was previously
associate vice president and project manager.
HLM Design is an architecture firm.

Gary Miciunas has joined the
Chicago office of St. Louis-based Hellmuth,
Obata + Kassabaum Inc. as senior vice president. He
was previously principal of Chicago-based The Environments
Group.
Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum Inc. is an architecture firm.

Kevin Hickman was promoted
to marketing director of Janesville, Wis.-based J.P.
Cullen & Sons Inc. He was previously marketing
coordinator.
J.P. Cullen & Sons Inc. is a general contracting firm.

Pamela Petty was named director
of sales for Elmhurst, Ill.-based Vital
Signs USA. She was previously a manager with Chicago-based
BP Amoco.
Vital Signs USA manufactures signs for the commercial construction
and real estate markets.

Charles Hubbard III was named
area manager of Alsip, Ill.-based McAllister
Equipment Co. and will be based in the Ingleside, Ill.,
facility. He was previously a sales representative with Naperville,
Ill.-based Westside Tractor Sales.
McAllister Equipment Co. is a construction equipment dealership.

Scott Zirbel was named senior
superintendent in charge of field operations for masonry restoration
of Chicago-based Bulley & Andrews
LLC. He was previously manager of construction operations
for structural engineering firm Thomas L. Rewerts.
Bulley & Andrews LLC is a general contracting firm.

Craig Tolan was named project
executive of Chicago-based Berglund
Construction. He was previously a project executive
with Chicago-based Pepper Construction Co.
Berglund Construction provides general contracting and facade
restoration services.

Carl White was named senior
industrial project manager in the Construction Division of
Plain, Wis.-based Edward Kraemer
& Sons Inc. He was previously a project manager
for AZCO Inc. in Green Bay, Wis.
Edward Kraemer & Sons Inc. is a general contractor and
construction aggregates supplier.

John Prentice was promoted to director of marketing for the
Schaumburg, Ill.-based Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute.
He was previously manager of corrosion protection.

Jeff Dietrich was named a project
manager in the Oshkosh, Wis., office of Brookfield, Wis.-based
R.A. Smith & Associates Inc.
He was previously president and project manager of Kimberly,
Wis.-based Miller Engineers & Scientists. National
Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith
& Associates, has announced Ben
Flitcroft, John Gomez, Alan Geary and Daphne
Williams have satisfied the requirements to become
certified survey technicians. The CST program recognizes those
individuals who have demonstrated the technical competence
to perform survey tasks.
R.A. Smith & Associates Inc. is a civil engineering, surveying
and technical services firm.

Dan Mathis was named district
manager for Honeoye, N.Y.-based Stone
Construction Equipment Inc. and will serve territory
that includes Illinois and Indiana. He was previously a sales
engineer for Columbia, Ill.-based R.L. Weisheimer & Associates.
Stone Construction Equipment Inc. designs, manufactures and
markets construction equipment.

Tampa, Fla.-based The Murray Co.
has announced Brad Dannegger
was promoted to vice and regional manager in Chicago. He was
previously director of business development in the firm's
Clearwater, Fla., office. Dan Labriola
was named project manager. He was previously a project engineer
with Chicago-based Pepper Construction Co.
The Murray Co. is a design-build general contractor.

Brian Bizup has joined Burr
Ridge, Ill.-based Klein Construction
Services Inc. as vice president of business development.
He was previously head of Internet sales for Barrington, Ill.-based
Motor Werks Inc.
Klein Construction Services Inc. is a design-build general
contractor.
