Philip Castillo has joined Chicago-based Lucien Lagrange Architects Ltd. as a principal. He was previously senior vice president and principal architect of Chicago-based Murphy/Jahn Architects. Lucien Lagrange is a design firm.

Thomas Weinmann adds to his responsibilities by becoming manager of the Structural and Transportation Laboratory of Skokie-based CTLGroup. He continues as manager of the Sensors and Structural Diagnostics Group. CTLGroup provides engineering and construction technology consulting.

J.P. Cullen and Sons Inc. of Janesville has announced Mike Hawkins was named chief estimator in the Milwaukee office. He was previously chief estimator of the Waukesha-based Redmond Co. Jill Holstine was promoted to marketing coordinator from marketing assistant. Cullen is a general contractor.

Patrick Engineering of Lisle has announced Dennis Rumshas was named safety coordinator and Matt Kerr director of human resources. Rumshas was previously safety manager of Chicago-based Walsh Construction Co., and Kerr was previously a senior human resources manager of Schaumburg-based Motorola. Patrick provides engineering, design, planning, technology consulting and construction management services.

R.A. Smith & Associates Inc. of Brookfield, Wis., has announced Len Roecker, senior project manager, was named Engineer of the Year, and Andy Schultz, project engineer, was named Young Engineer of the Year. The honors come from the Waukesha Chapter of the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers. Shawn Davis was named project manager in Oshkosh of the firm's National Survey & Engineering division. He was previously a project manager with Martenson & Eisele in Neenah. Smith offers civil engineering, planning, surveying and technical services consulting. .

Jay Womack was named director of land and water design of Darien-based Wight & Co. He was previously senior associate of Elmhurst-based Conservation Design Forum. Wight provides architecture, construction and engineering services.

Krusinski Construction Co. of Oak Brook has announced Andrew Johnson was promoted to project manager and Shawn Barry to general superintendent/corporate safety officer. Johnson was previously general superintendent/corporate safety officer, and Barry was previously senior project superintendent. Krusinski is a general contractor.

CG Schmidt Inc. of Milwaukee has announced Mark Brickman has joined the board of directors. He is the chairman of Milwaukee-based The Polacheck Co. and Polacheck Property Management Corp. Darrell Mercer was promoted to assistant project manager from project engineer. Schmidt is a general contractor.

KJWW Engineering Consultants of Naperville has announced Jeff Pratt was promoted to associate principal from associate, Tim Robinson to electrical designer from electrical technician and Steve Wall to construction department supervisor from construction administrator. KJWW provides engineering services.

McShane Construction Corp. of Rosemont has announced that David Smith was named project manager and Keith Mann project superintendent. Smith was previously project manager of Orland Park-based InterContinental Real Estate & Development, and Mann was previously superintendent of Indianapolis-based Gilliatte General Contractors Inc. McShane is a design-build contractor.

Pao Yang, an intern architect with Milwaukee-based HGA Architects and Engineers, was named a recipient of the 40 Under 40 award from the Business Journal of Milwaukee for his contributions to the architecture profession. HGA is a design firm.

Ripley Rasmus was named the office principal for design of the North Central Region, which includes Chicago, of St. Louis-based Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum Inc. He is a senior vice president. HOK is a design firm.

Larry McDermott was named project manager of Kenosha-based Becker Electrical Group. He was previously a project manager of Kenosha-based Maurer Electrical Service & Construction. Becker is an electrical contractor.

Paul Risk was named director of information systems of Chicago-based A. Epstein and Sons International Inc. He was previously president of Chicago-based PRMC Inc. Epstein is an architecture, engineering, construction, interior design and graphic design firm.

Joseph Hirsch was named the marketing director of Woodridge-based V3. He was previously an employee in the Naperville office of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Atwell-Hicks. V3 provides development and infrastructure services.

KCC Group Design + Build Inc. of Deerfield has announced four promotions: Howard Green to senior vice president from vice president; Robert Kolcz to project engineer I from project engineer II; Dennis Campbell to superintendent from assistant superintendent; and Jamie Juliano to marketing director from marketing coordinator. KCC offers design-build services.

Meg Novrosky was named project administrative assistant in Milwaukee of Minneapolis-based M.A. Mortenson Co. She was previously a receptionist with Oak View Veterinary Hospital in Green Bay. Mortenson is a general contractor.

Ditch Witch Midwest of Carol Stream has relocated its two Indiana locations. The Brownsburg location has moved to 1550 W. Northfield Drive, and the Fort Wayne location moved last fall to 4418 Merchant Rd. Ditch Witch is an equipment supplier.
