Graycor Industrial Constructors Inc. of Homewood has announced the promotions of Tom Muchesko to senior vice president and Gary Jaslovsky to project executive. Muchesko was previously vice president, and Jaslovsky was previously construction manager. Graycor is a general contractor.

John Campbell, general manager of engineering for the Large Power Systems Division of Peoria-based Caterpillar Inc. , has been appointed by the Environmental Protection Agency to serve on its Clean Air Act Advisory Committee. Caterpillar is an equipment manufacturer.

Allan Morby was named Central Division manager of Chicago-based Collins Engineers Inc. He was previously Midwest district area manager in Chicago with New York-based Parsons Brinckerhoff. Collins is a civil and structural engineering firm.

Terry Burghard was named to launch Local Government Strategies, a municipal development subsidiary of Crystal Lake-based Baxter & Woodman Inc . He was previously village administrator of Plainfield, Ill. Baxter & Woodman provides construction and design services for water, wastewater and transportation facilities.

Richard Fencil was named technical director in Chicago of San Francisco-based Gensler. He was previously principal of Wright Architects in Chicago. Gensler is a design firm.

Ralph Reetz was named affiliated consultant of Skokie-based CTLGroup . He was previously senior project manager of Dywidag Systems International USA in Bolingbrook. CTLGroup provides engineering and construction technology consulting.

STS Consultants Ltd. of Vernon Hills has announced the promotions of six to principal from associate: Lee Austin, Bob Furgeson, Bruce Huber, Gerry Koylass, Sandy Moldovan and Ray Perisin. Karen Plendl was promoted to human resources manager from human resources specialist. STS is an engineering consulting firm.

Smith & Associates Inc. of Brookfield, Wis., has announced five employees were named associates: Senior Project Manager Tom Ludwig ; Senior Project Engineer Paul McIlheran; Senior Project Manager Len Roecker ; Survey Property Group Manager Steve Southwell ; and Group Manager Ken Welden. Jude Gagliano was named community planner and Karen Giese project engineer. Gagliano was previously an employee of the Rock County Planning Agency, and Giese was previously a traffic engineer with Australia's Eppell Olsen & Partners. R.A. Smith provides civil engineering, planning and other services.

Veazey Parrott Durkin & Shoulders of Evansville has announced Andrew Fish and Christopher "Brian" Hardin joined the company as project architects. Fish was previously a project manager for Indianapolis-based RQAW Architects, and Hardin was previously a project architect, also with RQAW. VPDS is an architecture/engineering firm.

CG Schmidt of Milwaukee has announced the promotion of Lisa Jelen to assistant project manager from project engineer. Three hires were announced, Shauna Boyer as project engineer for Schmidt; Rebecca Kurz , also as project engineer; and Jen Brown as business development associate. Boyer and Kurz were previously students, and Brown was previously a professional healthcare representative for New York-based Pfizer Inc. Schmidt is a general contractor.

Loebl Schlossman & Hackl of Chicago has announced three additions to its architectural design staff: Jason Neitzel, Janneth Zarate Beltran and David Giroux . Neitzel was previously an employee of Chicago-based Griskelis Young Harrell, Zarate Beltran previously worked in design in Australia and Giroux was an employee of DAS Architects in Sterling Heights, Mich. Loebl Schlossman is a design firm.

Chris Johnson was named a superintendent in Milwaukee of Minneapolis-based
M.A. Mortenson Co . He was previously an employee of Building Crafts Inc.
in Wilder, Ky. Mortenson is a general contractor.

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association of Washington, D.C., has announced the elections of two vice chairmen at-large, Jim Connell and Charles Potts . Connell is the group president of Chicago-based Energy Absorption Systems Inc., and Potts is the CEO of Indianapolis-based Heritage Construction & Materials.

Glenn Jones, senior vice president of national accounts for West Chicago-based Centimark Corp. , was named to the steering committee of the Rosemont-based The Roofing Industry Alliance.

Harmon Inc. of Eden Prairie, Minn., has announced Anthony Sullivan and Keri Ramirez were named sales representative in Chicago. Sullivan was previously head of exterior sales for Alsip-based Trainor Glass, and Ramirez was previously project manager, also with Trainor. Harmon provides glazing services.
