HIRES

Dick Wolsfeld was named president of Chicago-based CTE. He was previously executive vice president of New York-based DMJM Harris. CTE is a transportation and environmental services firm.

R. Gregg Moon was named senior healthcare architect of Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. He was previously supervising architect with the University of Texas. SOM is a design firm.

Csaba Szekelyhidi was named director of healthcare architecture in Chicago of Fairfax, Va.-based PSA-Dewberry. He was previously senior associate principal with Chicago-based Loebl Schlossman & Hackl. PSA-Dewberry is an architecture firm.

Clayco of St. Louis has announced Gregory Beck was named senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was previously executive vice president of HBE Corp. in St. Louis. Forps Kuawogai was named senior project engineer, Christopher Miller was named electrical engineer and Amy Whitten was named construction administrator. Kuawogai was previously architectural estimator for BCI Construction Management Group in Gaithersburg, Md., Miller was previously a Clayco intern and Whitten was previously St. Louis-based Lackey Sheet Metal. Clayco provides development, design and construction services.

Pepper Construction of Chicago has announced seven hires: Dan Boland as project executive, James Brannan as project manager, Steve Brouwer as project manager, Mark Ihde as project manager, Kevin Kozlowski as project manager, Rachael Lamka as project manager and Mark Suchocki as mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordinator. Previously, Boland was chief operating officer of Chicago-based Pacific Construction Co., Brannan was project manager of Turner Construction Co., Brouwer was project manager of Palos Hills-based Skender Construction, Ihde was project manager for Rolling Meadows-based Bear Construction Co., Kozlowski was project manager of Palatine-based Maman Corp., Lamka was senior project manager of Pacific and Suchocki was construction administrator in Chicago for Boston-based BR+A. Pepper is a general contractor.

Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum Inc. of St. Louis has named Erich Friesen senior associate/project architect and Crystal Stone structural engineer. Friesen was previously project architect with Hospital Building & Equipment Co. in St. Louis, and Stone was previously an engineer with Casco in St. Louis. HOK is an architecture firm.

Mike Ley was named senior project engineer in Green Bay of Vernon Hills-based
STS Consultants Ltd. He was previously public works director/city engineer
with the city of Kewaunee, Wis. STS provides site planning, design and
construction engineering.

Patricia Algiers was named corporate studio strategy director of Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects. She was previously client executive and project manager in architect and design for Patricia S. Algiers & Associates. Eppstein Uhen is a design firm.

International Contractors Inc. of Elmhurst has announced the six additions:
Chris Avildsen
as project engineer, Paul Baloun as information technology manager, Sarah Dudek as director of business development, Walter Lesniak as project manager, Robert Peele as senior project manager and Daniel Tatar as superintendent. Avildsen was previously a student, Baloun was previously a consultant, Dudek was previously director of commercial construction of Oak Forest-based Blackmore Construction Inc., Lesniak was previously project manager of Homewood-based Graycor, Peele was previously division manager of Palos Hills-based Skender Construction and Tatar was previously senior superintendent of Hoffman Estates-based Leopardo Construction. International Contractors provides general contracting, construction management and design-build services.

Bret Woodland was named assistant project manager in Milwaukee of Minneapolis-based M.A. Mortenson Co. He transferred from Minneapolis. Mortenson is a general contractor.

Gary Bell was named an interior design in Chicago of Maregatti Interiors, an affiliated company of Indianapolis-based BSA LifeStructures . He was previously health and science specialist with Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLC. Maregatti specializes in health care, higher education and working environments.

Dwayne King was named project superintendent of Westmont-based Morgan/Harbour Construction. He was previously employed with Tinley Park-based TCB Design/Build Inc. Morgan/Harbour Construction is a design/build firm.

PROMOTIONS

Dave Eckmann was promoted to principal in Chicago of Seattle-based Magnusson Klemencic Associates. He was previously manager of Midwest projects. MKA provides civil and structural engineering services.

Devon Patterson was promoted to principal of Chicago-based Solomon Cordwell Buenz. He was previously vice president. SCB is an architecture firm.

Jennifer Costanzo was advanced to vice president/principal of Chicago-based STR Partners. She was previously senior project manager. STR provides architecture and interior design services.

BSA LifeStructures of Indianapolis has announced the promotions each of
Bob Boellner
and Rob Schoeck to vice president from principal. Tracey Rathke was promoted to vice president from director of human resources. Four architects were promoted to senior associate, Rich Engelhardt, Chris Lake, Andrew Lough and
Kay Townsend.
Three were promoted to associate principal, Michael Castor,
Mike Czyrka
and Mike Roach . Castor manages commission services, Czyrka is director of the Chicago office and Roach is field coordinator. BSA is a design firm.

William Marler was advanced to architectural manager of NMI Associates, a division of St. Louis-based Negwer Materials Inc. He was previously architectural consultant. Negwer supplies building materials.

OWP/P of Chicago has announced 11 employees were promoted from associate to senior associate: Patricia Canedo, Kevin Christensen, John Economou,
Rand Ekman, Laura Gagliano, Nancy Hartman, Tom Harrison, Troy Hoggard,
Jeff Kausbansky, Carol Lamar
and Kay Maines. Twelve were named associates: Heather Beaudoin, Lisa Gottschalk, Keith Hammelman, Ariel Llamas, Andy Piraro, Asha Patil, Shirley Sarbaugh, Raisa Shigol, Jim Skalka, Chad Stock, Bradley Trent , and Ted Zemper. OWP/P is a design firm.

HONORS AND APPOINTMENTS

James Frey was named management cochairman of Pride of St. Louis Inc. He is a member of the board of St. Louis-based Alberici Corp. Pride of St. Louis is a voluntary construction industry labor-management organization.

The National Roofing Contractors Association of Rosemont has announced two Midwesterners were elected officers: Vice President Robert McNamara, president of Milwaukee-based F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing Co. Inc., and Director Robert Kulp, owner of Stratford, Wis.-based Kulp's of Stratford LLC.
