HOK of St. Louis has announced the appointments in Chicago of Karen Laveen as vice president and senior practice leader and Randy Buescher as senior associate and project manager. Previously, Laveen was senior vice president of Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle, and Buescher was partner with ROBU Design LLC in Chicago.

Steve McCaskie was named senior geotechnical engineer in St. Louis of Springfield, Ill.-based Hanson Professional Services Inc. He was previously office manager and senior engineer with Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott & May Engineers in St. Louis. Hanson provides architectural, engineering and management services.

Alberici Corp. of St. Louis has announced the appointments of Kim Dailey as payroll administrator; Zach Dyer as proposal services associate; Garett Fleming as project engineer; Daniel Rosemann as estimator; Andrew Schollenberger as project engineer; James Gordon Taylor as subguard administrator; Kenneth Tirado as project manager; and Brent Wilcox as safety project coordinator. Previously, Dailey was payroll manager of McBride & Son Contracting Co. Inc.; Dyer was a student; Fleming was also a student; Rosemann was public works intern/estimator for the city of Maryland Heights, Mo.; Schollenberger was a student; Taylor was administrator with Stocker Construction Co.; Tirado was senior project manager for Hooker Cockram; and Wilcox was safety engineer intern with Western Summit Constructors. BSA LifeStructures of Indianapolis has announced the appointments of Jackie Bieghler as project architect and Patrick Timpe as project manager. Both were previously with Odle McGuire & Shook Corp. in Indianapolis, Bieghler as senior design architect and Timpe as architect/senior project manager. BSA is a design firm.

Heather McNeilly was named civil engineer of Brookfield, Wis.-based R.A. Smith & Associates Inc. She was previously a student. R.A. Smith provides civil engineering planning and other services.

Kevin Cordray was named senior project engineer with St. Louis-based Paric Corp. He was previously project manager with Kansas City, Mo.-based Walton Construction. Paric is a contractor.

PROMOTIONS

Goettsch Partners of Chicago has announced Joseph Dolinar was named partner. He was previously principal. Promoted to associate principal were Paul De Santis, Aaron Greven and Travis Soberg, each from senior associate; to senior associate were Markus Klein and Charles Wittleder, each from associate; and to associate were Yuan Ji, Yong Mei and Austin Zike, each from architect. Goettsch is an architecture firm.

Greg Mulac was named vice president and deputy operations manager in Chicago of New York-based Turner Construction Co. He was previously project executive and deputy operations manager. Turner is a contractor.

Angie Lee was named vice president in Chicago of Detroit-based SmithGroup. She was previously principal. SmithGroup is a design firm.

Gilbane Building Co. of Providence, R.I., has announced the promotions in Milwaukee of John Nawrocki to vice president, Adam Jelen to project executive and Matt Riemer to virtual construction engineer. Previously, Nawrocki was regional controller, Jelen was senior project manager and Riemer was building information modeling coordinator. Gilbane is a contractor.

Bill Fulton was named marketing manager for Global On-Highway Group of Peoria-based Caterpillar Inc. He was previously manager of the Global On-Highway Group for the Asia/Pacific Division in Melbourne, Australia. Caterpillar is a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.

HGA Architects and Engineers of Minneapolis has announced the promotions in Milwaukee of Mark Debrauske, Kevin Kerschbaum and Matthew Mikolainis, each to associate vice president. Each was previously senior associate. HGA is a design firm.

Paric Corp. of St. Louis has announced the promotions of K. Mark Kreikemeier to senior project manager and Brett Streb to project estimator. Previously, Kreikemeier was project engineer, and Streb was estimator. Paric is a contractor.

Michael Domasica was advanced to project manager of Skokie-based The Alter Group. He was previously assistant project manager. Alter provides design/build, construction management and other services.

Tarlton Corp. of St. Louis has announced the promotions of Scott Green as senior project engineer and Karen Espy as assistant project engineer. Previously, Green was project engineer, and Espy was project assistant. Tarlton is a contracting firm.

HONORS AND APPOINTMENTS

Joseph Burns, managing principal in the Chicago office of New York-based Thornton-Tomasetti Inc., has received a Special Achievement Award from the Chicago-based American Institute of Steel Construction Inc. He was honored for accomplishments in structural steel design, research and education. Thornton-Tomasetti provides building engineering services.

Robert McNamara, president of Milwaukee-based F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing Co. Inc., has announced that he will serve as senior vice president of the National Roofing Contractor’s Association in Rosemont, Ill.
