HIRES

John Mick II was named regional manager in Chicago of Crystal Lake-based Baxter & Woodman Inc. He was previously vice president and Illinois manager with Milwaukee-based Bloom Consultants. Baxter & Woodman is an engineering firm.

Dan Gellings was named executive vice president of Kenosha-based Riley Construction Co. and be based in Milwaukee. He was previously vice president of CD Smith Construction in Fond du Lac. Riley is a contractor.

Finn Hubbard was named senior principal engineer in Milwaukee for Kansas City, Mo.-based HNTB Corp. He was previously chief bridge construction engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. HNTB is an infrastructure firm.

Mike McPhillips was named deputy commission in the LaPorte District of the Indiana Department of Transportation. He was previously executive director of the Toll Road Joint Oversight Committee.

Renae Bradshaw was named vice president/director of business development of the Chicago Interiors Group of Chicago-based VOA Associates Inc. She was previously director of business development of St. Louis-based HOK. VOA is a design firm.

Terracon of St. Louis has announced Fred Held III was named senior project manager and Heather Balven was named project manager. Previously, Held was a project engineer/laboratory manager for Professional Services Industries Inc. in St. Louis. Terracon is a consulting engineering firm.

Scott Miller was named senior healthcare planner of Indianapolis-based BSA LifeStructures. He was previously principal/architect of ACI/Boland in Leawood, Kan. BSA is a design firm.

Gilbane Building Co. of Providence, R.I., has announced the additions in Milwaukee of Julie Gehling as project superintendent and Suzy Wood as executive assistant. Gehling was previously construction service project manager with Interior Systems Inc. in Milwaukee, and Wood oversaw public relations for Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. Gilbane is a contractor.

Michael Casmer was named project manager of Woodridge-based Morgan/Harbour Construction. He was previously project manager with TCB Design/Build in Tinley Park. Morgan/Harbour provides design-build services.

Loebl Schlossman & Hackl of Chicago has announced the additions of Clare Ardizzone as interior designer, John Aquilina as construction administrator; Elaine El-Aboudi as designer; and Amy Brietzke as architectural designer. Previously, Ardizzone was an interior designer with Anderson Mikos Architects in Oakbrook Terrace, Aquilina was a consultant, El-Aboudi was an employee with Saxton Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa, and Brietzke was project designer at The Environments Group in Chicago. LSH is an architecture firm.

Amanda Olsen was named a water resource engineer of Springfield, Ill.-based Hanson Professional Services Inc. She was previously a student. Hanson provides architectural, engineering and management services.

Luke Haas was named landscape designer of Brookfield, Wis.-based R.A. Smith National Inc. He was previously a designer with Landscape Architects Inc. in Milwaukee. R.A. Smith provides civil engineering, planning and other services.

PROMOTIONS

Charles Carter was named vice president and chief structural engineer of the Chicago-based American Institute of Steel Construction Inc. He was previously chief structural engineer.

Halvorson and Partners in Chicago has announced the promotions of Carrie Warner and John Viise, each to associate principal. Both continue as senior project engineers. Halvorson is a structural-engineering firm.

VOA Associates Inc. of Chicago has announced Thomas Erdelac was promoted to director of the Chicago Interiors Group and Ken Gurtowski was named managing director of the Highland, Ind., office. Erdelac is a principal, and Gurtowski previously led business development. VOA is a design firm.

Steve Bachofen was named general superintendent of retail operations of Fitchburg, Wis.-based Tri-North Builders Inc.He was previously safety director. Tri-North is a contractor.

Brian Porter was named environmental department manager of St. Louis-based Terracon. He previously worked in the Bettendorf, Iowa, office where he redeveloped Brownfield projects. Terracon is a consulting engineering firm.

Shiel Sexton of Indianapolis announced the promotions of Lacie Hacker to Web services administrator from IT coordinator and Matt Jacques to safety manager from carpenter. Shiel Sexton is a contractor.

Mark Reinsch was named survey project manager of Brookfield, Wis.-based R.A. Smith National Inc. He was previously project surveyor. R.A. Smith provides civil engineering, planning and other services.

Lisa Chapman was advanced to director of accounting of O’Fallon, Mo.-based Paric Corp. She was previously corporate accounting manager. Paric is a contractor.
