Telescopic Booms

The new Favelle Favco Model 60T telescopic boom, crawler crane with 60-ton capacity and a four-section 105-ft. boom tip height is built on a
Caterpillar Model 325 excavator power module.
The crane is powered by a quad turbocharged 168-hp Cat diesel engine with an automatic engine control and electronic power unit control with back-up system. For operator convenience, the Caterpillar cab has ergonomic control placement using a joystick for swing, boom elevation, telescopic main hoist and auxiliary hoists. Foot controls are used for the travel functions. A push button on the joystick extends and retracts the machine's tracks. For more information, contact mkhoo@favcousa.com.

Rotary Hammer

Metabo Corp., a manufacturer of professional grade portable electrical tools, has introduced a new D-handle rotary hammer. The design of the BHE-D24, which can be used for drilling into a variety of materials, including stone, concrete, wood and steel, reduces operator reaching on both down-drilling and overhead drilling applications.

A gooseneck steel depth gauge provides increased drilling depth accuracy when setting anchors. The drill incorporates electronic speed control, a reverse feature for efficient drilling and a die cast aluminum gearbox that allows for rapid heat dissipation and increased tool life. Specialized Carrier

Specialized carriers can now haul their "super loads" on Rogers latest specialized application model. This trailer was specifically designed and built for a major southwestern utility company to transport emergency transformers. It will also haul rough terrain cranes, excavators or other heavy equipment with little or no breakdown.

Stretching out over 90 ft., this 60-ton-capacity trailer features three air-ride axles with 54.5-in. axle spacings combined with a booster assembly and two detachable axles. The booster can be removed and the rear assembly can be run as a three-axle, close-coupled four-axle or five-axle when hauling lighter loads or when a spread axle configuration is not required.
