Columbus and the surrounding region have yet to fully rebound from the 2008 recession, Alexander tells ENR Midwest. “The market conditions for private construction in the Midwest continue to be less than stellar regardless of project type,” he says. “We have succeeded in rebuilding our base of work since the downturn by working with specific clients who value our process and expanding geographically with them.” He adds that “while general opportunities have increased lately, they are still below what you would expect in a recovery.”
